Behaviour and Inclusion Lead

(Pay Grade F – H)

32.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday 8:00 – 15:00 (inc. half hour unpaid lunch)

Term time only plus 5 training days

Craven PRS is seeking a committed, resilient and compassionate member to join our dedicated team. We work with young people who require something different from mainstream education – smaller settings, strong relationships, and adults who believe in them.

Working closely with all staff and the Senior Leadership Team, you will:

  • Work with staff to create and maintain an emotionally safe and trauma informed environment.
  • Provide focused support for individual pupils to help them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, helping them develop strategies to regulate their emotions and behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
  • Monitor pupils' progress and contribute to support plans and reviews.
  • Support and coordinate transition processes for pupils

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with children or young people, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Is calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to inclusion and believes every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
  • Can work effectively as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
  • Has a proactive approach to promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Values teamwork, humour, and mutual support

The successful candidate will therefore be an innovative thinker, conscientious worker and able to inspire confidence in students. 

If you are the kind of person who believes that every young person deserves a second chance, we would love to hear from you.Experience in PRU / PRS / alternative provision is welcome but not essential. Visits and informal conversations are warmly encouraged.
