Cleaner (Grade C-D SCP3 £12.85/hr)
10 - 15 hours per week (each role) : split shifts, flexible, out of hours 6am or 3pm start tbc
2 positions available but could be one role for the right candidate
Term time only plus 5 training days (additional weeks out of term time tbc)
Start date would be ASAP to facilitate a hand over
We are seeking a dependable and proactive part-time Caretaker and Cleaner to join Craven Pupil Referral Service. These are both key roles, responsible for ensuring the site is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate will be practical, self-motivated, and able to manage a range of either cleaning and/or maintenance duties
The successful candidate will maintain the school premises and grounds in a safe, secure, and operational condition, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and supporting the day-to-day running of the service. We are happy to recruit two people to fulfil these roles but could also create one role for the right person with all skills. There could also be the potential for additional hours, maintaining our garden areas if the candidate also has these skills.
Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role would be ideal, with evidence of good practical skills (DIY, repairs, maintenance) and a good understanding of health & safety practises.
This role involves working in an educational setting with vulnerable young people. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times.
