Are you committed to improving the lives of children and young people?
Craven Pupil Referral Service is a small, secondary school of just 23 pupils based on the outskirts of Skipton that provides high quality education for young people who have been excluded, or are in danger of exclusion, from mainstream school. We are recruiting a support team for September 2021.
Our ATA’s work alongside other staff to assist students in overcoming barriers to learning and enable them to achieve beyond their expectations. They have a vital role to play in supporting our young people. They are child centred and focus on providing the best possible education and care for their pupils. Strong behaviour management skills are desired to help de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour Our ATA’s are well trained and supported in order to carry out their role.
In order to join our fabulous new team, you should have some previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a school setting. You will need patience, resilience, empathy and be able to persevere over the long term to see improvement in pupil's academic, social and behavioural progress.
If you would like to find out more about this post or arrange a visit to the school, please contact Carol Robertson, Headteacher (email@example.com).
Craven PRS is committed to safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of all young people and it is expected that all staff share this commitment. Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory enhanced disclosure and barring checks.
