Year 11 pupils complete work experience on a Wednesday supported by YES Careers Ltd. Work experience allows pupils to develop essential work and lifeskills to cope successfully after leaving the PRS. If you have queries relating to careers or work experience provision, please contact the school office and ask for Mrs Wright (Careers Lead).
Pupils start the day at 8.15am with the offer of breakfast to 8.30am.
All students are provided with 45 minutes of daily active movement which we call 'MOVE'. This is directed training time tailored individual pupils and based on MOPS indicators (movement opportunity plans).
Each day students complete core lessons: English, Maths and Science. Maths contact: Mr A Haughey email@example.com
Additional subjects include lifeskills, outdoor education, yoga and mindfullness, RSE, PSCHE, Citizenship, ICT, Humanities, Art and creative awards where possible.
Reciprocal Reading is a literacy access base used to help students become independant readers who have the skills necessary to decode more complex and challenging vocabulary. Should you want to know more about Reciprocal Reading and how to support your young person at home, please contact the school office and ask to speak with Mrs Wright (English Lead).
If you have any questions about the curriculum, please contact the school office and ask to speak with Miss Arthur who Leads on Teaching & Learning. firstname.lastname@example.org
