At Key Stage 4 there are a number of pathways that pupils can take leading to qualifications in:
Pupils receive two and a half hours of maths teaching per week. Additional revision classes are offered in the run up to exams.
Teachers are encouraged to use a variety of approaches and make use of ICT as appropriate. Where possible, links should be made between mathematics and the real world and between different topics within mathematics. We try to make lessons as enjoyable by playing games and learning through practical activities where possible.
Pupils are assessed when they join us and we aim to address any misconceptions or missing basic numeracy skills that they have before they return to school or continue with the GCSE courses.
