GCSE Citizenship Studies is a new GCSE course for first examination in summer 2018.
The course is designed to give students a good understanding of a range of issues relevant to life in modern Britain and to develop the skills needed to undertake an investigation into a citizenship issue and to take action with regard to this issue.
The course is based around the following subject content:
1. Citizenship skills, processes and methods
2. Life in modern Britain
3. Rights and responsibilities
4. Politics and participation
5. Active citizenship
The course is examined through two written AQA exams, which take place at the end of the course.
