Craven Pupil Referral Service is seeking to appoint an outstanding, motivated, creative and inspirational teacher who is passionate about improving the life chances of pupils who face barriers to education which may include medical, social, emotional and behavioural needs. The post is being advertised with a start date of September 2019, three days a week, preferably Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and is for a fixed term of 1 year.
You will join a strong, supportive team in which you will plan and deliver high quality lessons with enthusiasm. You will be ambitious, committed and passionate about the power of education to transform the lives of young people. Teachers at the PRS need to be able to teach a range of subjects across all age ranges of KS3 or KS4 often including English and maths. Applications from teachers who have experience in technology subjects are particularly welcome.
You will have the opportunity to make a considerable impact on the future outcomes for students as we move from our Ofsted judgement of Good (September 2018) to Outstanding.
Many of our pupils are vulnerable and have complex needs. We work with parents, carers and a range of agencies and stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for them. Effective partnerships with secondary schools and academies are critical to achieving good and better progress for our students.
The successful candidate will therefore be an innovative thinker, conscientious worker and excellent practitioner, with aspirations to further their career. They will also be able to inspire confidence in students, staff and a wide range of stakeholders.
