Friday 27th April 2018
We are organising a theme day for pupils and staff on Friday 27th April as part of the school’s Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development Programme.
On this day, as part of our ongoing programme to develop students cultural awareness, students and staff will be visiting Bradford in order to go a tour of a place of religious worship and then for a meal in the town centre. One group will be visiting the Madni Jamia Mosque whilst the other will be visiting the Hindu Temple. Both of the groups will then go for a meal together at a restaurant in the town.
PUPIL PROGRESS AFTERNOON
The Pupil Progress Afternoon is an important part of the education process and is an opportunity for you and your son/daughter to come into the PRS to meet with your son/daughter’s key worker, as well as subject staff and, if necessary, the senior leadership team. Pupil Progress Afternoon is important as it is an opportunity to discuss progress, attendance, attitudes and effort.
At this meeting parents/guardians will meet with key staff to discuss their son/daughter’s progress and to discuss individual education plan targets with key workers for the next term. Our independent careers adviser, Mrs. Meehan, will also be available to speak to KS4 pupils and parents about post 16 opportunities.
We ask that parents/guardians choose a 10 minute time slot between 3.00 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. to speak to your child’s keyworker initially, other staff will be available afterwards to further discuss your child’s progress. Attendance is important as this is your opportunity to talk about your child and to take an active part in their education and progression therefore if the times and/or date are not convenient please ring school to arrange an alternative meeting.
